Could your site host a PowerPledge hub?

PowerPledge is designed for London sites with useful space, parking, local traffic, customer dwell time, spare electrical capacity, or a location where drivers naturally stop during the day.

PowerPledge does not need every site to be perfect. The battery allows us to make more locations viable than a traditional rapid charging installation.

YOUR SITE MAY BE WORTH REVIEWING IF IT HAS ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
  • 01
Useful spaceParking bays, a forecourt, yard, loading area, frontage, car park, or underused outdoor space. (2–8 car spots ideal)
  • 02
People already stopping thereCustomers, tenants, staff, visitors, delivery drivers, taxis, Ubers or local drivers who already use or pass the site. (10–100 min ideal)
  • 03
A good London locationVisibility from main roads is a plus, but anywhere within Greater London with 24/7 or long-hour access works. A site near busy roads, residential areas, commercial centres, delivery routes, offices, gyms, restaurants or high-footfall areas.
  • 04
Some electrical capacityWhile our batteries do the heavy lifting, a basic grid connection helps. Even limited spare capacity can be useful when paired with a battery. You do not need to know your exact capacity — PowerPledge can help review this.
  • 05
Room for equipmentAn area for our modular battery units and power electronics, which can be shared space or tucked away. A charger and battery unit need some space, but the setup can often be compact and designed around the site.
/ 03Benefits

What you get as a host.

01

No upfront installation cost

PowerPledge funds the charger, battery system and installation through its project funding model. You do not need to buy the equipment or commit capital.

02

New revenue potential

Your site can generate value through a fixed monthly site payment, a share of hub profits, or electricity bill savings where suitable.

03

No operational burden

PowerPledge handles installation, software, maintenance, payments, driver support, reporting and energy optimisation. You keep running your business as normal.

04

Extra infrastructure for your site

Offer useful EV charging to customers, tenants, staff, visitors or local drivers — improving your site's amenities, visibility and long-term relevance.

/ 04Host models

Choose what works for you.

Every site is different. PowerPledge structures the host benefit around location, expected usage, available capacity and your commercial preference. Hybrid options always available.

Model A

Fixed monthly site payouts

A simple agreed monthly payment for hosting PowerPledge charging and battery infrastructure on your site.

Simplest model. Predictable income. No exposure to charger performance.
Model B

Profit share

Participate in the financial performance of the charging hub through a share of project profits.

Suits hosts who believe their location has strong charging demand and want to share in the upside.
Model C

Electricity bill reduction

Where suitable, the battery supports the host site by reducing electricity costs through peak shaving or local energy optimisation.

Suits buildings with high electricity usage, expensive peak periods or demand charges.

How hosting works.

You host the site. PowerPledge handles everything else — from feasibility to driver support.

  1. 01

    Site review

We review your site's location, parking layout, access, visibility, existing electrical capacity and local charging demand.

  2. 02

    Hub design

We design the right charger and battery configuration for your site and recommend the most suitable host benefit model.

  3. 03

    Project funding

Approved investors fund the charger-and-battery project, so the host does not need to pay upfront for the infrastructure.

  4. 04

    Installation and launch

PowerPledge manages equipment procurement, installation, software, metering, safety checks and commissioning.

  5. 05

    Operation and reporting

PowerPledge operates the hub end-to-end: maintenance, payments, customer support, energy optimisation and performance reporting.

/ 06The battery

Why the battery matters.

Existing site capacity30 kW steady inputBatteryreservoirRapid charge output150 kW dischargeSLOW, STEADY INPUTFAST, HIGH-POWER OUTPUT

Traditional rapid chargers need large grid connections, expensive upgrades and long approval processes — making many urban sites unworkable.

PowerPledge uses battery storage to bridge the gap. The battery slowly charges from the site's spare capacity, then releases high power when EVs need rapid charging. Instead of relying only on a large grid connection, the battery acts like a local power reservoir for the charging hub.

For hosts, this means fewer technical barriers, lower disruption, more flexible site options and a stronger commercial case.
